One-to-One Mentor for Each Learner
The place of new beginnings in learning  and confidence

Each student works one-to-one with a learning mentor who will work with all areas which the student needs to strengthen.  All of our learning mentors are certified teachers with teaching experience.

The role of a learning mentor involves helping a student fill in gaps in concepts, skills, knowledge and strategies.  He/she also focuses on helping the student make progress in the learning areas being addressed.

The mentoring role of a learning mentor at TLC involves helping the student evaluate and re-think practices, organizational patterns, skills, knowledge bases, attitudes, and relationships which may be hampering him/her as a learner.  Mentoring also involves a combination of listening, encouraging, and coaching a student to make fruitful changes in all relevant aspects of his/her life in order to be as successful as possible
